Some of us love macOS for what it is, some like to personalize and customize their operating system and for those of us who don't want the dock to be constantly shown on the screen, Launchy offers an alternative.
Launchy is a small app that only costs €4 (one time payment) that lives in your menu bar and shows up when you press ⌘ command + ⌥ option. This shortcut launches a circle around your mouse cursor with the apps you add to it.
The app is very lightweight and it's easy to personalize. You can choose which apps show up when pressing ⌘ command + ⌥ option; the size of the icons; the position where the launcher will appear rather around your mouse cursor or in the middle of the screen; the size of the circle and its thickness; you can choose if you want to see the running app indicator and rather to have only the app icons or to also show the names under; enable haptic feedback and many other functions.
Of course you can still use the dock or launch any app by using the Spotlight by pressing ⌘ command + space but Launchy makes it just a bit more...je ne sais quoi 😄
